Meet The Team


Trish K.

Office Manager

A military brat, I moved to Virginia from California when I was 3 years old.  I am the youngest of six and was raised in the Kempsville area. My husband, Jimmy, and I are childhood sweethearts and have been together since 1985. We have two beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful granddaughters. I enjoy spending time with my family and find great joy and pleasure in spoiling my grand kids! When I am not at work, chances are I am camping or fishing with my husband and other family members.

I began working for Dr. Finnerty in 1987. I love my career and enjoy coming to work every day. Many of our patients started coming to us when they were children, and now they have children of their own they bring here!  We have a history and friendship with our patients that you won’t find in a lot of offices.  When you can recognize a patients voice on the phone with just a “hello” you know they are more then just a patient. I think that’s what I love about working here the most, I have hundreds of “friends”!


Courtney C.

Front Desk

I was born in Norfolk, Virginia but raised in the Kempsville area. I have 3 kids, 2 daughters and a son who are the light of my life. When I am not at work I am spending the majority of my time with my kids and my family. I enjoy working out, going to the beach and country concerts. When it is football season you will find me in front of the TV with my favorite jersey on, GO COWBOYS!

I am glad that I chose to go into the field of dental assisting because it gives me the opportunity to show my compassion for helping people on a daily basis.

My parents have been patients of Dr. Finnerty’s for years so it was an easy decision for me when the option to work here full time opened up. I look forward to many years here!


Nathalie M.

Lead Dental Assistant

New to the area, I moved to Virginia Beach in 2020.  Originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey.   I am the oldest of 3 children.   I don't have children (yet) but I do love my Border Collie, Loki and my 2 Leopard Geckos, Mochi & Soju.  

I consider myself a people person, I enjoy meeting new people and enjoy working with our patients in helping them achieve a healthy, happy smile!  When not at work I like to take my dog to the park or the beach.   I enjoy a night in, watching a good movie!   While I won't win American Idol, I do love to sing and dance as if no one was watching! Life is too short you have to enjoy the blessings we are given!

 I am looking forward to my life in Virginia Beach and with my new work family at Kempsville Dental!

Dental Assistant

Although my beautiful, and unique name is Caressa, pronounced Caress-Ah, I go by CC because it tends to be easier for my patient's to remember. I was raised here in the Hampton Roads area. I graduated from MCI on my late brother's birthday in Nov. of 2020 with my Associates Degree in Applied Science in Dental Assisting. My late brother inspired me to make a career change and go back to school, so it was very fitting I took my final exam, and had my graduation date be on his birthday. 


Outside of work I enjoy trying new restaurants, listening to music, watching movies, sleeping, and spending time with my mom and dog. I am very family oriented, and that is one reason I love working at Kempsville. It feels like a family between the office staff and the patients.

Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in West Virginia.  Chasing warmer weather and sandy beaches, I moved to Virginia Beach in 2023.  I have 2 children, Austin and Eowyn. 

 

I have been a Dental Hygienist for 28 years, graduating from West Virginia University with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene.  With the retirement of Colleen, I have big shoes to fill and look forward to meeting all our patients and helping them maintain/improve their oral health.  I love what I do and I love to educate patients while I am with them.

My husband Harry and I moved to Virginia Beach from Michigan in 1988. We have 2 wonderful children which we are both very proud of!

I am very active in my church and enjoy spending time with both my family and friends.
I have been a dental hygienist for over 30 years and am proud to say I have been a part of Dr. Finnerty’s practice for over 24 years now!

I had a problem with my tooth on New Year’s Day, I tried to call the emergency number on line but Dr. Singh( not sure on the spelling of his name) is the only one who called me back and check on me. He showed up to his clinic on Holiday but I did not make it there because I didn’t expect him to show up. I went to see him after holiday. He is an excellent dentist.

A friend of mine recommended this Dentistry because he has gone to them for years and I do not have Dental Insurance. This practice was ideal because they offer a discounted option for those without insurance. This was my very first visit. Very conveniently located. Staff is super welcoming and friendly. Feels very homey and like you are a part of the family when you are there. Everyone is very easy to talk with and any questions I had were answered. Definitely recommend Kempsville Dental to anyone needing a dentist or in search of a new location.
